Recirculatory Fume Cupboard
We offer a fully mobile recirculatory fume cupboard, ideal for demonstrations with 360 degree visibility. It has a unique sliding sash design with a quick release lock set at 400mm high. For operator safety, it has RCD protection and integral airflow control panels. The design proudly complies with six government standards including Design Note 29 and Building Bulletin 88. An additional tamper-proof docking station with gas, water and electric fittings is required to allow connection to services within the room.
Standard 1000mm Wide Fume Cupboard
The standard 1000mm wide fume cupboard is an efficient unit for use in the medical, pharmaceutical, general industrial laboratories and teaching establishments. It offers a high degree of protection to the operator. Observers are fully protected and enjoy an unobscured view via the full height acid and heat resistant, clear toughened glass viewing panels.
Fume Extraction
Today’s fume extraction systems need to meet stringent guidelines regarding pollution. Standards of efficiency, reliability and construction must all be considered, depending on the nature of the toxic and corrosive mediums to be handled. Our designers will recommend a scheme to handle the fumes in accordance with current statutory requirements. Substances which are particularly noxious will need to be diluted or removed before discharge into the atmosphere. In these cases, we can offer a complete range of fume scrubbers, wash units, mist eliminators and filters. Extracted air can be replaced with fresh air from another source, heated if desired. This could either be linked to the extraction system, or supplied separately using dual speed fans and the necessary switchgear to ensure a balanced, efficient installation.
